Ronald Williams is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of Timber Products Inspection, Inc. (TP) after nearly 30 years, the company announced May 22. He will remain as the chairman of TP’s board of directors.
Williams joined TP in 1974 as a field representative. He left the company in 1981 to start L&W Manufacturing, a small remanufacturing facility, and rejoined TP in 1986 as its lumber division manager before becoming a part owner in 1994.
Under the direction of Williams and co-owner Jim Respess, TP, an associate member of the Southern Forest Products Association, quickly expanded beyond its core business of lumber grading into many other facets of the forest products industry.
Jay Moore will assume the role of CEO along with his current role as president. Moore is committed to continuing the momentum Williams established in building the TP culture, continuing the growth of the business, and helping TP partners find success.
