Madem-Moorecraft Opens 2nd Manufacturing Facility in U.S.

Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA has opened its second manufacturing plant in the United States with a grand opening at the new facility in Denton, Texas, on October 2.

Our most advanced industrial engineering project has just started materializing in Denton, said Marcos Conde Ramalho, president of Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA, an associate member of the Southern Forest Products Association. This manufacturing system consists of innovative machinery and brings pride to the Madem-Moorecraft team and Madem Group worldwide. It all has been designed to deliver unparalleled wooden and plywood reel experience to the North American cable industry.

The completed first phase of the new Denton plant increases Madem-Moorecraft’s current production capacity by 50 percent (150 truckloads of kits/month). Phase 2 is expected to be completed next year and will provide an additional 50 percent capacity increase. The total investment will exceed $14 million and create more than 100 jobs.

Madem-MoorecraftMadem-Moorecraft supplies wood and plywood reels to 42 cable manufacturing plants in the United States. Grand opening attendees included Denton Mayor Gerard Hudspeth, Denton Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Cole Frazier, Denton County District Judge Joe Holland, Denton City Council Member Brian Beck, and Jeff Coulter, representing U.S. Representative Michael Burgress, in addition to customers, suppliers, and shareholders.
