The Southern Forest Products Association is proud to welcome Ultra Air Systems as an associate member!
Franklin, Tennessee-based Ultra Air Systems provides long-wearing components for pneumatic transport systems in sawmills. Its premier product is the Ultra 600 Induction Hardened elbow, which replaces traditional “flat-back” or “wear-back” style bends used in fuel delivery systems as well as all transport systems for dust and shavings.
The unique manufacturing process begins with schedule pipe with a proprietary chemistry. The pipe is then induction heated and bent while being quenched on the ID. This provides an unmatched combination of 600 Brinnell Hardness on the interior, while the exterior remains malleable to cut or weld. These bends are available in heavy-duty and super-duty wall thicknesses and can be formed to any degree or centerline radius, including pipe diameters from 2 ½ inches to 20 inches.
Working directly with mills and select contractors, Ultra Air has projects installed throughout the southeast and is expanding into the northwest U.S. and Canada. Ultra Air now also offers a range of pneumatic conveying components including straight pipe, cleanouts, flanges, and other accessories.
