SFPA has a strategic alliance with APA to increase staff efficiency through shared product support and promotions, including joint product literature and market research under the American Softwoods banner.
The SEC represents U.S. softwood grading agencies, industry trade associations, state export promotional agencies, and others with a stake in the global trade of softwood lumber and wood-based building materials. SFPA works with the SEC under the American Softwoods banner to develop collaborative relationships with international industry representatives and buyers.
SLB is an industry-funded initiative established to promote the benefits and uses of softwood lumber products in outdoor, residential, and non-residential construction.
SLMA represents independently owned sawmills throughout the Southeast. SFPA works with SLMA on issues important to the Southern Pine industry, including efforts to improve international export markets for Southern Pine.
SPTA represents producers of industrial wood products preserved with American Wood Protection Association (AWPA)-approved industrial preservatives and preservative components. SFPA works with SPTA on issues that affect the marketability and promotion of treated wood products.
WoodWorks is an initiative of the Wood Products Council (WPC), a cooperative venture of major North American wood associations, as well as research organizations, government agencies, and other funding partners. WoodWorks provides education, resources and technical support related to the design of nonresidential and multi-family wood buildings. SFPA is a charter member of WPC and partners with WoodWorks on Southern Pine lumber product support and promotion.
